Subscription for Elderly Parent
We purchased a Willoughby Book Club subscription for my 86-year-old father, and it has been a wonderful experience. Each month he receives a carefully chosen thriller, often from writers he would never have picked up himself. He is quite set in his ways, so this service has been excellent in gently introducing him to new authors and different aspects of the genre. Over the first 12 months, there has only been one book he wasn’t entirely keen on, but even then he still appreciated its merits. Overall, the subscription has broadened his reading, given him fresh enjoyment, and provided us with the reassurance that he’s receiving thoughtful, high-quality selections each month.
