The Willoughby Book Club has been busy curating bespoke book subscriptions since way back in 2012.
We've learned lots along the way and wanted to share with you all how we do what we do.
You've found yourself on the Willoughby Book Club website. You've decided that you want to buy a unique and thoughtful present, either for yourself or a lucky recipient.
Well, what happens next?
The Willoughby journey from that initial click on 'Buy Now' to the lovely clatter of the letterbox as a book hits the doormat, is one we've streamlined over the years to make the whole buying experience straightforward and as clear as possible.
We want our customers to be sure that from the moment of purchase, the small Willoughby team of bookworms will always treat each order with the care and attention it deserves!
What happens when I buy a subscription or a gift tin?
Our amazing customer services administrator Alisha captures the order via the website. Gift certificates are automatically sent to your inbox, ready to be popped into a card.

If you've purchased a gift tin, this is prepared, boxed and shipped the same day (or the next business day if placed after 11am) to the address provided.
See how a gift tin works here.
If you've opted for a gift subscription, our resident book selector Liv reads the information provided on the order form, gets to know the recipient's bookish likes and dislikes and selects a book that she thinks they will love.

Every single customer is unique, therefore so is every single subscription.
The first book is beautifully wrapped and packed by Nic, including any additional goodies that have been added on at checkout, such as our gorgeous bars of Love Cocoa chocolate.

Our operations administrator Aishah then arranges shipping, with the first book despatched within 5 business days.

Subsequent books are then set out at the start of each month, following a very similar pattern (pick, pack, ship, repeat!).
At any stage of the subscription, whether 3,6, or 12 months, we are always here to offer assistance, be it an address change, adding book preferences, or simply feedback on a selection.
