GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2- The promoter is: The Willoughby Book Club Ltd (Company No: 11160825 (Registered in England & Wales))

 

Eligibility to enter

3- The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of The Willoughby Book Club and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

 

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

5- To enter the competition you must purchase either a gift tin or book subscription from our website www.thewilloughybookclub.co.uk between 00:00 GMT on the 28th October 2025 and 23:59 GMT on the 16th November 2025.

6- There is one entry per order that includes the purchase of a Gift tin of Book Subscription.

7- Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via Early Bird Christmas Book Subscription Offer 2025 - The Willoughby Book Club

8- Closing date for entry will be 23:59 GMT on the 16th of November 2025. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

 

The prize

9- The prize is as follows: One of eight Reading and Relaxation Gif Boxes as seen on our website Reading and Relaxation Gift Box - The Willoughby Book Club Gift Cards

10- The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

 

Winner announcement

11- Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents.

12- The winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the closing date and will have 10 business working days to respond in full to the email. Failure to respond in this time will result in the Giveaway/Competition prize being forfeited and re-awarded to a substitute participant, selected at the time of the original allocation.. The winner will only ever be contacted by an official email address ending in @thewilloughbybookclub.co.uk . If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

 

Receipt of the prize

13- The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize has been dispatched. Please allow 14 days for delivery of the prize.

 

Limitation of liability

14- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

15- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

16- Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

17- The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

18- The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

 

Data protection and publicity

19- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

20- For transparency, the winners’ surnames will be available, upon request, for entrants of the giveaway for 28 days after the closing date by emailing the following address: hello@thewilloughbybookclub.co.uk

 

General

21- The Willoughby Book Cub‘s decision as to those able to take part and the selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

22- The Willoughby Book Cub shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

23- The Willoughby Book Cub also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
