Testimonials

"I brought my husband a three month book subscription with Willoughby Book Club for Christmas and he loved it! He's just received his final book. Their customer service is fantastic and I cannot fault it. The first month the book which arrived was unfortunately one my husband already owned, but I was told to gift it to someone else and they very quickly sent out a different book, one which was new to my husband. Just excellent service! All the books received have been well chosen and obscure enough for my massive book nerd husband. Brilliant company and definitely recommend."

"Brilliant customer service from Alisha, who promptly resolved an issue my grandmother was having with her gift voucher. A lovely gift idea and great team behind the business too, thank you very much!"

Holly Newins

"I bought my wife a subscription as one of her presents for her 50th birthday from The Willoughby Book Club. The ordering process was really straight forward and the gift tin arrived in plenty of time for me to wrap it. When she redeemed her voucher and entered the details of the authors and genres she liked the process was very easy. Her first book arrived this month and she's delighted with the selection made for her. It's by an author she hasn't read and would probably not have chosen herself so it's given a real opportunity to read books she otherwise wouldn't have. The book was also very nicely wrapped and protected in cardboard packaging. Great customer service. Would highly recommend this company."

What we've been reading in March

As we are celebrating women this month, the Willoughby reading lists have been full of strong and well written woman, along with the families you are born into and the ones you make along the way.

The books below are all about love, identity and trying to find where you belong in world that is full of many ups and downs.

Memorable Mothers | The Willoughby Book Club

Memorable Mothers

It's Mother’s Day and here at Willoughby we’ve been discussing and compiling a list of our favourite mothers in literature. We asked ourselves: What makes a mother? A mother can be a guide, an emotional support, a burden, a friend, she can have a wand and tiara even. Sometimes, a mother isn’t a mother at all. Like families, mothers come in all forms and guises. Sometimes a book can feel like a mother. We may feel comforted, protected and guided by the pages of our stories.
#BreaktheBias | The Willoughby Book Club

#BreaktheBias

This year’s International Women’s Day and Women's History Month, the theme is #BreaktheBias. The campaign wants to help promote a world where difference and inclusion are celebrated and stereotypes, bias and discrimination are relegated to the history books!
